Shanghai Hmaser Wins an Enterprise-Category Merit Award at the 11th “Maker in China” Spatial Information Competition

The final and award ceremony of the 11th “Maker in China” Spatial Information SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place at the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center in Beijing on 14 September 2026. According to the published award list, Shanghai Hmaser Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (上海光链电子科技有限公司) received an enterprise-category Merit Award (优胜奖) for its project “10 kg Ultra-Compact Active Hydrogen Maser — Domestically Produced BeiDou High-Precision Time-Space Reference Equipment.”

The competition was hosted by the Network Security Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Information Center, MIIT) and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and organized by the Zhongguancun Spatial Information Industry Technology Alliance. Following the preliminary and semifinal rounds, 10 enterprise-category projects and 3 startup-category projects reached the final.

Teams presented their technical innovations, core products, applications, business models and commercialization prospects. Experts evaluated the projects on technical innovation, commercial potential and team strength.

Shanghai Hmaser’s project focuses on ultra-compact active hydrogen masers and domestically produced high-precision time-space reference equipment for BeiDou. After progressing through the semifinal and final stages, the project received an enterprise-category Merit Award, marking a further milestone in the company’s time and frequency technology development.
